I am excited to begin my 18th year of teaching this year.  I started my teaching career in Iroquois, SD, where I taught JH Math and K-8 PE for four years.  I then moved to Pierre and taught 6th grade Math at Georgia Morse Middle School for four years.  In 2008 I began teaching in Gettysburg, where I currently teach middle school math  and K-8 Physical Education.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Dakota Wesleyan University.  Recently, I earned my Master's Degree from Concordia University, St. Paul.  My degree is in Differentiated Instruction.  What this means is we know not every student learns the same, so we have to find ways to match a child's ability with his/her work product.  One of my favorite quotes is, "Fair isn't everyone getting the same thing, Fair is everyone getting what they need to be successful."  I will be doing everything I can to help my students be successful.

I have been married to my husband, Brad, for twelve years.  We have a daughter, Kyley, who is five years old and starting Kindergarten this year.  We also have a daughter, Abby,  who will be two in Septemeber.  In our spare time, we enjoy anything outdoors - hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, and just spending time with family and friends.
